In 400 Level, but no admission

This got me thinking: It's possible for a student to be in his/her final year but still hasn't gotten admission.

Many would be thinking: How possible? With all the quizzes written, assignments done, someone would have hinted something about my admission being half-baked.

Well lemme state here that I do not mean the admission status stated by the school's admission letter. I mean admission into life, as it pertains to the school environment; the many awesomeness the four corners of a university has a offer.

So many parents (mostly, but not limited to the illiterates) make the assumption that when their children get into the university, and do not hurriedly join a fire-brand-church to be spitting constant fire at invincible demons from the village (that probably do not have their time), that they are leaving themselves bare as an open invitation to the devil. This half-filled truth which is being made to seem full of truth  to their children, imprints in the mind of these young adults the mindset of solely for Christ for the complete 4-5 years of their university journey. Such a student is noticeably seen to be different (the being different is open to many interpretations, hence is a topic for another day) and is ready to cast out seeming-demons from any  course mate, or lodge neighbor who tries even in the most harmless way to let them see things from another perspective.

I'm not here to permit immoral acts as a way of assuring oneself of his admittance into adulthood/manhood, as many of my church-brethren might already be thinking, but there are so many harmless activities outside the church circle that are neither sinful nor harmful. These various activities, picnics, excursions, departmental conferences, comedy night, drama night, movie night, Award nights, etc., help  to broaden one's horizon about how the world really and works. Because to me, that is the true admission we were all granted when we checked our admission status.

So my ever upright brethren, loosen up a bit, go make your own history the better way with Christ still in your life. If you don't know, it is easier to convince one of Christ's love when you bring yourself down, as Christ himself did. Humility without losing oneself is key.

To those over doing the relaxation thing, tighten your loose buckles a bit, and enjoy school the right way, because moderation is another key to living right.

PS: This is my first article, and I dedicate it to everyone reading.

Well my brother your points have been accurately dissipated and seem to be based on the behaviour of most students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and maybe worldwide.
But at the same time lets call to mind the fact that most times the behaviour of such "Demon casting students"" might be psychologically linked to their upbringing or even childhood experiences..

Some of them know once they get into it or let me say "Get down on it" they know they wont be able to pull "The brakes".

If a deeper study is carried out, you'll most likely discover that most of them don't behave that way because they want to...its mostly because they have to. In modern Nigeria today most children still live in fear of their parents whose words are "A" and "Amen"...
The parents don't know this in most cases that most children confuse fear and respect....every parent wants the best for their children and can go to any length to ensure this, and most times end up going over the edge...You cant really blame them..
And finally these students if exposed to the "right company" end up experiencing all areas of school life to the fullest and vice versa if exposed to the wrong company...Well we all know how that usually turns out..

In the light of this this is actually a good article and i wish you good luck
